About Chloe- A Houston Doula & Educator
Congratulations on your decision to learn more about how a birth and postpartum doula can help support you and your family!
I’m Chloe Adams-Gibbs, the Houston doula- fertility, birth, and postpartum, birth educator, Body Ready Method Pro, and Certified Midwives Assistant behind Your Birth Bestie Co.! I am also a proud member of the Greater Houston Midwives Alliance. As someone with a marketing background, I’m pretty active on social media and have a podcast- Your Birth Bestie Co. Show where I talk all things fertility, birth, postpartum, and motherhood.
My birth and postpartum doula journey began in 2021 after the traumatic birth of my first daughter. What I experienced exposed me to the gaps in our healthcare system regarding maternal health mental well-being, postpartum care, and newborn care. Because of these experiences, I am especially passionate about serving families recovering from birth trauma and aiming for a VBAC.
My attitude toward birth is very modern and balanced. There is no one-size-fits-all approach to people so there can’t be when welcoming a new human to the world. Regardless of your birth choices, I will support you and ensure you are respected no matter what. Hospital or home, in water or in a bed, midwife or doctor – I will stand next to you and your partner with candor, a nurturing touch, and a joke on hand.
Along with being a Certified Birth and Postpartum Doula and Birth Instructor, I am a VBAC Link Advanced Doula and am qualified to educate on and promote successful VBACs and prevent C-sections in all mamas.
As someone with PCOS, I was told I’d never conceive on my own. I’m not really the type of person to take no for an answer, so I deep dove into the root causes of PCOS and where I might need to improve my own health- and I conceived all on my own- TWICE. This journey led me to become passionate about helping other women in their fertility journey, and I have supported over a dozen women. My passion for this has led me to start nursing school to eventually become a Women’s Health DNP and Certified Nurse Midwife.
Whether you have searched for a doula for your fertility, pregnancy, birth, or postpartum period (or all 4!) you may be overwhelmed with the list of questions you would like answered. This is completely normal and I’m happy to chat with you and answer any questions you may have.
